Galatians 2:20 — Shut up and Die to the flesh.
"When I came to the Lord in 2011, I had many struggles and hurdles to overcome. I believed deeply in justice and often tried to justify my actions and decisions. If something made sense to me, that was enough. I didn’t think I needed to explain myself or be held accountable. I’ll never forget the first time I really messed up. I immediately went into my own “PR session” with God, trying to explain and defend myself. That’s when I heard Him speak—softly, yet firmly: “Shut up and die to your flesh.” At first, I couldn’t believe it. Surely God didn’t tell me to “shut up,” right? I was convinced I was right. But over the next month, that message followed me everywhere—through every sermon, Bible study, and conversation. Even people outside the faith echoed it without knowing why.
That’s when I realized something powerful: crucified people don’t speak; it’s Christ who speaks through them. That truth changed everything for me, and it’s a motto I live by to this day. This verse isn’t about comfort; it’s a call to surrender. The old self is gone; Christ now lives within. True faith means letting go of control and letting His purpose define your life."
